Hotel Villa Carlotta Taormina - Sicily

Villa Carlotta is a fabulous four star hotel which enjoys an enviable position on the cliffs of the world famous resort of Taormina, with views out over the sea and the slopes of Mount Etna.

The building was built as residence of a noble family in 1896 from designs emulating the grandiose architectural style of the 1400's. The interiors of this elegant stone-clad villa reflect the aristocratic Sicilian origins of the building with the use of terracotta tiles, wrought iron, painted ceramics and volcanic stone.

Hotel Villa Carlotta has 27 quite unique rooms and suites. The interiors of the guest rooms are decorated with quality Sicilian cherry wood furniture. A number of rooms have romantic canopied beds, the drapes of which are made from the finest textiles. Large bay windows open out onto balconies and private terraces with views of the sea and the sweet scented hotel gardens. Rooms are equipped with every modern comfort.

The Hotel is immersed in gardens filled with lush Mediterranean foliage and featuring a large swimming pool open throughout the long Taormina summer right up until the end of October. In addition to the olive groves, palm trees and cascades of bougainvilleas, in a corner of the gardens, part of an ancient Roman road can be admired.

The Hotel Villa Carlotta offers guests a number of additional services including a free internet point, library, and tea room. A small spa, with Jacuzzi for up to six people is situated in an area of the hotel where the remains of Byzantine catacombs can still be seen.
A sumptuous breakfast featuring a vast selection of Sicilian specialties is served on the panoramic roof top terrace.
