Mandranova Palma di Montechiaro

History and tradition; land and sea; a farm and a holiday resort: Mandranova is all this and more still. Mandranova was created with so as to provide a place where visitors would be able to experience the beauty of this marvelous corner of Southern Sicily to the full. The resort is located in the countryside of Palma di Montechiaro, small town on the Southern coast of the island, between Agrigento and Licata.

Built as typical Sicilian farmstead, today what were once store rooms and stables have been converted in elegant rooms in which unique family heirlooms live side by side elegant furnishings with a decidedly contemporary feel. Six bedrooms and six suites are situated in the main Farmhouse. The Casello, an old railway station, and the Robazza, a picturesque Sicilian grape press, have been transformed in two exclusive independent apartments, perfect for those guests looking for that extra touch of privacy.

The Mandranova Resort is surrounded by a quintessentially Sicilian landscape, dotted with century old olive trees, twisted and gnarled by the passage of time. In the garden of the resort, exotic African plants and palm trees form a spectacular backdrop to the swimming pool. Just a few kilometers from the resort, the scenery begins to change; the countryside making way for enchanting beaches and the clear blue sea of Sicily.

On Mandranova's farm a number of different varieties of olive tree are cultivated and their fruit used for the production of Mandranova's highly acclaimed Monocultivar Extra Virgin Olive Oils. Many of the ingredients used in the flavor packed dishes served in the Mandranova restaurant are grown in the resort's kitchen garden.
