Cefalù
Small sea town with age old traditions preserves the traces of various periods of history.
50 kilometers from Palermo, on the Gulf of Termini Imerese, one finds Cefalù, seaside town, at the foot of a rock formation which resembles a head. Traditional festivities include Ninna a Mari, the Frottola (farm workers day) and the Gioco delle Pignatte.
Close to the most famous mountain resorts, Cefalù has an ancient historic center where one can visit the Mandralisca Museum, Church of Maria Santissima della Catena, Cefalù Cathedral, the ex convent of St Caterina, the Medieval Washhouse and, a few kilometers away, the Gibilmanna Sanctuary.
