With its five towns of Lipari, Pianoconte, Quattropiani, Acquacalda and Canneto, Lipari is the largest of the Eolie islands. The island is of great natural beauty, with stunning white sandy beaches and turquoise waters.
There are a number of sites of great tourist appeal on Lipari: the Cathedral of St Bartolomeo, the Eoliano Archeological Museum, the Church of St Giuseppe, the Church of the Anime del Purgatorio, Lipari Castle, the Acropoli, the Church of the Addolorata, the Church of the Immacolata. On the island there is an important wine industry, producing the famous Malvasia.
