Because of its historically strategic position, the Sicily's island of Pantelleria is scattered with sites of great archeological interest. At Pantelleria one finds the longest stretch of prehistoric wall in the whole of the Mediterranean Muro Alto, the Acropoli, the Barbacane Castle and the Sesi.
